I have issues with the word "yarn". It (in Australia) means a 'story', and I feel silly saying it when I mean 'wool' ('wool' as in 'yarn', not 'wool' as in fibre what comes off a sheep.....see my predicament?). 'Wool', to me, means 'stuff you knit with'.
Plus, it sounds stupid when I say it - it's not a word designed for the Aussie accent: yaaaaaaaaaaahn....
sigh.
